Montgomery Ledger 10/23/1888 (Tuesday) edition: 

"Christianna, wife of E C B Shaner, Spring City, died on the 17th inst. She leaves 
a husband and 4 children - Wm. Elmore Shaner, of Iowa; Ann Eliza, wife of Jefferson 
Fry, Graves Shaner of Spring City, and Kate Shaner, living at home. Deceased was in 
her 61st year. The funeral took place on Saturday, and the remains were interred at 
Hill (Reformed) Church."
