Sheridan Funeral services will be conducted for Edward A. Sheridan, husband of E. Carrie Davis Sheridan, of South Brandywine Ave., from his late residence Friday morning. Solemn Requiem Mass will be said at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church at 10 a.m. Interment will be made in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Mr. Sheridan died in Coatesville Hospital Tuesday, April 21. He was 56 years of age. The son of the late Michael and Elizabeth Dalton Sheridan, Mr. Sheridan was born in Coatesville, but resided in Downingtown for many years where he was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Minquas Fire Company and Philadelphia Lodge, No. 2, Elks. He was employed by Curtis Publishing Co. for many years. In addition to his wife, Mr. Sheridan is survived by a son, William E., of Downingtown; a brother, Joseph, of Baltimore, and three sisters, Mrs. Christy Valentine, Miss Helen Sheridan, and Mrs. Thomas White, all of Coatesville. Friends and relatives are invited to call at his late residence this evening. Downingtown Archive, April 24, 1953 TOO young to die. That was the thought on reading about the passing of “Eddie” Sheridan, of Downingtown, a former Coatesvillian, at fifty-seven years from a heart attack. Many will recall his baseball pitching days on the St. Cecilia Club here and his all around fine personality. Men like him are bound to be greatly missed in this busy old world.
