Sheridan, a well known resident of 55 South Eighth Avenue, died at his home on Saturday in his 74th year. He had been in failing health for the past three years but was seriously ill only since Wednesday. He had not been able to work for several years. Mr. Sheridan was born in Coatesville and spent all his life here. He was a boiler maker and had worked for the old Coatesville Boiler Works Company, the Bethlehem Steel Company and the Lukens Steel Company. He was a faithful member of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church and belonged to the Holy Name Society. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Taggart Sheridan and the following sons and daughters: James P., of Denver, Col; Edward A., of Downingtown; Joseph F., of Baltimore, Md.; Sister M. Agnes Cecilia, of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Philadelphia; Anna, wife of Christy Ballentine, of Coatesville, Helen at home, and Elizabeth, wife of Thomas White of Coatesville, and three grand children. The funeral will take place on Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock from his late home with solemn High Mass of Requiem at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church at 10 o’clock. Interment will be in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery. Friends have been invited to call at his late home Tuesday evening.
