Shivery, wife of Norwood Shivery, passed away at her home, in Cochranville, last night at about 10:45 o'clock. She had undergone an operation for gall stones and was recovering nicely, apparently, when complications developed which caused her death. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brown of near Coatesville, and spent all her life in this county. For several years she and her husband conducted a store at Homeville. about five years ago, they moved to Cochranville, where they conduct a store at the present time. Besides her husband she and parents she is, Mrs. Shivery is survived by a small daughter, Wanita, aged four years. A sister,also survives, Pauline,wife of Benjamin Hamilton, of near Coatesville. She was an active member of the Eastern Star and had many friends about this part of county, who will mourn her loss. Shivery- In Coatesville, Pa., on Sept. 5 Leola B., wife of Norwood shivery, in her 38th year. Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral without further notice on Sunday afternoon at 2 'clock standard time, from her late home, cochranville. Interment in Oxford Cemetery 9/12/1929 Funeral of Mrs. Leola B. Shivery a very large attendance of relatives and friends were present to pay their last respects to Mrs. Leola B. Shivery, beloved wife of S. Norwood Shivery, of this place, on Sunday afternoon, when the services were held at her late home. Rev. M.M. Hostetter, Pastor of Faggs Manor Church; Rev. S. W. Drumm pastor of the Cochranville M. E. Church, and Rev. E. Roy Eshleman, pastor of Mt. Pleasant M. E. Church all took part in the services, the later preaching the funeral sermon. Two beautiful hymns were sung. The body reposed in a handsome casket surrounded by beautiful floral tributes from relatives and friends. Members of the Cochranville Chapter No.347, O. E. S. were present and took part in the services at the house. the pall-bearers were: Messrs. Ira E. Garver, J verner Pennock, Norman Chamberlain, Ephraim Rile, George Bradshaw and Ross Brown. The deceased is survived by her husband and little daughter, Wanita, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. thomas Brown and a sister Pauline, wife of Benjaine Hambleton.
