He was a son of the late George and Mary Smedley, formerly of Lionville. Mr. Smedley was a retired employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad, with whom he had worked for over 40 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church, at Malvern, and also belonged to the Veteran’s of the Pennsylvania Railroad. Besides his wife, Blanche, daughter of the late Joseph and Susan Brittingham, formerly of Malvern, he is survived by two sisters ___ Rena Armstrong, of Bala and ___, wife of Willis F. Beck, of Wayne. There are several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Davis and William Smedley, who for ay years resided at Malvern and a sister, Mrs. Laura Hampton, who lived at Chester, are deceased.
