Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral without further notice from the residence of her parents, 313 High St., on Saturday the 5th inst. Meet at the house at 2 o’clock p.m. Interment at Oaklands Friends’ Burial Grounds. Remains can be seen on Friday evening. Daily Local News, February 7, 1921 The funeral of Mrs. Eva B., wife of Benjamin Smeigh, took place on Saturday afternoon from the residence of her parents, George and Ella Buxton, No 313 North High Street, where services were held and well attended by relatives and friends of the deceased who passed away in early womanhood, leaving a large circle of warm friends. The services were conducted by Rev. C.R. Williamson, pastor of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, who spoke appropriately. On Friday evening Pocahontas Council, No 252, visited the funeral house, viewed th3 remains and performed the ritual service in an impressive manner. There were numerous floral tributes sent by friends and relatives and members of the Lodge. Interment was made at Oaklands Friends’ Burying Ground. The pall bearers were Alan B. Day, George B. Day, Clarence L. Day, Charles W. Margerum, Jr, Lloyd Margerum, cousins of the deceased, and Clarence McNeill.
