Daily Local News, November 8, 1884
Died of Diphtheria- Emily an interesting 4 year old daughter 
of G. W. Snare, of West Gay street, West Chester, died this 
(Saturday) morning of diphtheria.

Ibid:
SNARE- In West Chester, on Saturday, November 8, Emily Stella, 
youngest daughter of George and Sallie Snare, aged 4 years 
and 10 months.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend 
the funeral services on Tuesday, November 11, at 2 o’clock.  
Interment private.

Daily Local News, November 12, 1884
Interred-  The remains of Emily, the five-year-old daughter 
of George W. Snare, were borne away from her parents residence 
on Gay Street Tuesday to the cemetery, where they were 
interred. Although the funeral was private many of the little 
girls friends paid their respects to her remains before the 
funeral left the house.
