For a period of Fifty five years he was carpenter in charge at the Westtown Friends' Boarding School, a position which illness compelled him to resign about seveteen months ago. He was a deacon in the Goshen Baptist Church for half a century, and by his faithful adherence to the right he won the esteem of a wide circle of friends. His wife and five children survive him; Capt. Lewis C., Berwyn; Cheyney, and Henry of Philadelphia; Edwin of Westtown,and Anna Mary the wife od Edwin Manley fo Edgemont.
