B. Speakman, had died at an early hour. He was forty two years age last May. About five days ago Mr. Speakman had a heavy fall downstairs in the Speakman House, of which he was manager. He had risen in the night, ands on the stairway lost his footing in the dark and fell to the bottom, where he was found unconscious. He was taken up and cared for until his death. The fall however, is said to have been less serious than the malady from which he suffered, Bright`s disease, and it was latter which brougth the end at 1:45 this morning. Mr. Speakman had long been connected with the hotel, and has been in charge since the death of his father, which occurred thirteen months ago. He was well known in many circles, and had taken active interest in politics, being a memeber of the Republican State Central Committe. He belonged to Goddard Lodge No.383,F.&A.M., and to the Coatesville Chapter,R.A.M. By occuptation Mr. Speakman was a civil engineer and for a time was Borough Surveyor in Coatesville. His mother, and brother, Fred,survive him, also a wife and a daughter. Speakman- On October 28, 1901, Charles Hartshorn Speakman, aged 42 years.
