Taylor An attack of pneumonia over a year ago, after which pulmonary disease developed, caused the death of Edward K. Taylor of New Garden township, on Thursday, September 7,1911. In a effort to regain his health, Mr. Taylor has spent the most the summer in a tent on his farm, but disease had made tooo great inroads on his system, and he gradually failed in vitality, until his spirit took Flight. Mr. Taylor was 63 years of age. He spent his younger days in Lancaster county, but had been a citizen of New Garden for many years, operating a fine farm. He was interested in public affairs, and served as member of the Board of School Directors in New Garden for a long time. He was a Republican in politics, and filled the office of Mercantile Appraiser of Chester County last spring. The death of his only son, Earl Taylor, occurred a year ago. Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, who was Miss Addie Brown of Lancaster County, The deceased was a member of the Kennett Lodge No. 475, F. & A. M. The funeral was held on Monday at 2 p.m. from his late home. Interment at Upper New Garden Friens burying grounds.
