She was in her 76th year and had been in failing health for some time. Recently her condition had been critical. She had been a highly regarded resident of Downingtown for many years. Four grandchildren survive: Charles Hayes, at whose home she passed away; Eleanor, wife of Walter W. Hill, of Drexel Hill; William and Joseph Hayes, of Philadelphia. There are five great-grandchildren. Half-sister and half- brothers surviving are: Mrs. Irma Swope of Baltimore, Md; William C. Ash, of Overbrook; Horace Ash, of Winchester, Mass., and Earl Ash, of Washington, DC. Mr. Trego, her husband, was at one time associated with Buffalo Bill. He died in1926.
