Mary Ellen Trego, who before her marriage was Mary Ellen Simmers, passed away 
this morning at the home of her son, Daniel S. Trego, of West Whiteland 
township, in the 66th year of her age.  She suffered from a heart condition 
and had been ill for the past three weeks.
 Mrs. Trego was born near Honey Brook, where she spent the greater part of her 
life.  Before going to spend the winter with her son, Daniel, she was living 
with her daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Wise, of near Compass.
 She is survived by her husband and the following children:  John B., West 
Chester R.D., Daniel, of West Whiteland Township; Elizabeth, wife of Rowland 
Leamy, Pomeroy; Alice, wife of Harvard Cochrane, Richmond, Va.; Mabel, wife of 
George Hager, of Windmoore; Charles, of Elverson, Rhoda, wife of Jay Wise, of 
near Honey Brook, and Margaret, wife of Evan Kurtz, of Narvon, R.D.  There are 
also 22 grand children and three great grand children.

TREGO- Of West Whiteland township, on Feb. 16, Mary Ellen Trego (nee Simmers), 
wife of Clark B. Trego, in her 66th year.
 Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral without further 
notice at Archie S. Maclean’s Funeral Home, 5th Ave and Lincoln Highway, 
Coatesville, Pa., on Friday, Feb. 19, at 2p.m.  Interment in Honey Brook 
Methodist Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening.
