Sunday he was about in his usual health, walked to the new railroad, and in the evening attended the Prohibition meeting at the Temperance hall. Monday morning he arose, as was his custom, about 5 o'clock, but soon complained of feeling very ill. Drs. Coffman and Weeks were called, but in a few minutes life was extinct. He leaves a large family of sons and daughters, all grown, and creditably filling various stations in life, to cheer and comfort a widowed mother. He was the father-in-law of Harry Sloyer, Recorder of Deeds, of Chester county. NOTE: His daughter Gertrude VANDERSLICE married Harry SLOYER.
