Deaths Work
Yesterday morning at ten o’clock the funeral services over the body of Miss 
Susan Walls was held at her late home near Lincoln University, and the 
interment made in the burial ground near Hosanna Chapel.  Rev. William Johnson 
conducted the services.  Miss Walls died late Monday evening after a long 
illness of pulmonary tuberculosis. She was sixty-three years old, a daughter of 
William Walls.  During the residence of Rev. Melancthon W. Jacobus, in Oxford, 
the deceased was the housekeeper for his establishment.  After his departure 
she went to live with the Rendalls, in Lincoln University, in the same 
capacity.  She remained with them until ill health forced her to give up active 
work. She is survived by two brothers, George and William Walls, of the same 
neighborhood.
