She was the only child of Charles L. and Sarah Peckett Weir, and grand daughter of ex- postmaster, Edward Weir, of Malvern. She had been visiting her grandparents, but a few days ago, and it was noticed by her loved ones that her health was failing. Little did they think that the messenger of death would so soon call this bright child of fourteen summers. She had been an exceptionally bright and studious pupil of the Harrisburg High School and stood well in her classes. She was a devout and Christian child, and took an active part in Sunday School work and was a consistent member of the Lutheran Church. Being of a genial disposition and always looking on the bright side of life, she endeared herself to many friends and great sympathy has been expressed for her parents, both of whom ere reared in Chester County.
