He apparently survived the operation in the morning in good form but a hemorrhage followed and his death resulted about 7 o'clock. He was a bright lovable child a favorite in the neighborhood of his home and the grief stricken parents are accorded the sympathy of many friends. He was in the fifth year of his age. Daily Local West Chester Pennsylvania July 16 1927 Wetherill – In Chester county Hospital on July 14, William J only child of William J and Mary E Mosteller Wetherill aged 4 years and 6 months. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral without further notice from his parent's residence 303 West Union Street, on Saturday, July 16. Meet at the house at 3:30 o'clock, D S time. Interment at Greenmount Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday after 12 noon. Daily Local West Chester Pennsylvania July 18 1927 The funeral of William J Wetherill, little son of William J and Mary E Mosteller Wetherill took place on Saturday afternoon from the home of the parents on West Union Street, services being conducted by Rev Edward S Ninde D D pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church. The little boy whose sad death is mourned by a host of friends and relatives reposed in a handsome couch casket amid floral tributes, which almost filled the room. Many of these were from his little friends in the Methodist Sunday school and elsewhere and a tribute was also sent by the employees of his father. Interment was at Greemount Cemetery, the pallbearers being Dewees Mosteller, Clinton Mosteller, J Paul Mosteller, and P Henry Baker of this place.
