Coatesville Record, May 14, 1951

Mrs. Ida M. Spotts  Wetzler, wife of George G. Wetzler, Honey Brook RD 2, died 
Saturday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Elmer, 
Cambridge, after an illness of one week.  She was in her 86th year.  Mrs. 
Wetzler was a daughter of the late John and Hettie Miller Spotts, of Salisbury 
township.  Besides her husband, she is survived by three children:  J. Harry 
Wetzler, Cambridge; Mary E., wife of Dewey Elmer, Cambridge; and Ira, Narcon 
(sic) RD 2.  Seven grand children, five great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. 
Laura Hillard, Lancaster, also survive.  The funeral will take place from the 
Esbenshade funeral home, in New Holland, on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  
Interment will be in Pequea Presbyterian cemetery.  Friends have been invited 
to call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening.
