(Hoffman) WHITMAN 1/1916
 
"Mrs. Amos WHITMAN
After an illness of some weeks, Mrs. Amos Whitman passed away at her home near 
Elverson, aged 75 years, 10 months and seven days.  Mrs Whitman had been a 
resident of the neighborhood all her life and gained a host of friends who will 
mourn her loss.  She was formerly Margaret Hoffman.  Besides her husband she is 
survived by the following children - Mrs. Harry Herb, of Reading; Edward, of 
this town; Mrs. Frank Peck, of Morgantown, and Herbert, of Rock. Her funeral 
will take place  on Saturday and interment in the Methodist cemetery at 
Morgantown."
