The jury was composed of W.T. Hunt, Thomas Thornbury, George P. McFarlan, Nelson Loller, W. Howard McFarlan and Wm. Moore, who after hearing the testimony as to the finding of the body, adjourned on account of the absence of important witnesses until Wednesday afternoon next, when additional testimony will be taken. Wolf was an industrious colored man who lived at Romansville with his mother and sisters, and had been ill for some time with phthisic (sic). On Sunday evening last he visited the house of James Leslie, near Sunnyside School, and at about 8:30 o’clock left for his home, accompanied by his two dogs. This was the last seen of him alive. On Monday morning his sister went to the home of Fillmore Guthrie, reported him missing and a search was at once instituted. On Sunday, Mr. Guthrie had noticed on e of Wolf’s dogs making frequent visits to his house, but paid no attention to the animal. When he started out in search for the missing man on Monday morning, he was passing along a road, which leads to Sunnyside School, when he noticed the same dg on the road acting strangely. The animal whined and ran off into the woods. Mr. Guthrie followed it, and on a bank about fifty yards from the road found the body of the missing man. It was lying on its back, he legs being drawn up as if in pain, and another dog lying beside it. The animals had remained by he body ever since his death, which from all appearances had taken place some time during Saturday night. The man had evidently been stricken with heart disease and fallen down the embankment to the point where he was found, as a cane he always carried was found several feet away and above him on the bank. The body was taken to his home in he afternoon and a physician will make an examination today to determine the exact cause of death.
