Woodward, 71, a former Spring City resident, died late Monday night in the Fair Villa Nursing Home, Norristown, where he had been a guest for the past nine months. He had been in poor health for the past three years. Son of the late Lewis and Mary (Hart) Woodward, he was born at Joanna, Berks County. He lived in Spring City 50 years and was employed at the Bush Brothers Planing Mill, Royersford, as a cabinet maker until his retirement two years ago. He was a member of Spring City First United Church of Christ, Vincent Lodge 762 IOOF, the Humane Fire Co., Royersford, and Liberty Fire Co., Spring City. His wife, Elsie (Hohl) Woodward, died in 1949. Surviving are two daughters, Ethel A., wife of Louis F. Weaver, Birchrunville, and Mary E., wife of Linus F. Adams, Royersford, RD1; three grandchildren; three brothers, Warren S., 49 N Main St., Spring City; Harry, Anselma, and Edward, Elverson RD, and one sister, Mrs. Anna Hohl, Reading. Funeral services will be held at the Nelson Funeral Home, 331 New St., Spring City, Friday at 2 p.m.. Burial will be in Zion's Cemetery.
