YOUNG Former Recorder of Deeds Laid Away Yesterday With Impressive Ceremonies The funeral of Dr. THOMAS D. YOUNG, former Recorded of Deeds of Delaware County, took place yesterday afternoon from his late home on Third Street, Media, and many friends of the deceased and the bereaved family were present to take a last look at the remains. The services were held at the house shortly after two o'clock, being conducted by Rev. Robert HETHERINGTON, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Media, who also sang a beautiful solo, "Abide With Me." At three o'clock the funeral cordage left the house and proceeded to the Media Cemetery. Short services were held at the grave previous to burial. The remains reposed at the house in a handsome mahogany casket, reclining in the sitting room adjoining the parlor. Surrounding the casket were many pretty floral tributes in memory of the deceased. Among those who contributed flowers were EDWARD YOUNG, son of the deceased; David H. STITEFER, Paul and Samuel MATHUES, and the Register of Wills, WILLIAM J. TAZEWELL. The remains were clothed in a KNIGHT of MALTA uniform the sword of the order by the side. A large number of the members of IMPERIAL COMMANDERY No 125, KNIGHTS of MALTA, of Chester, of which Archie McNEIL is Sir Knight Commander and E. H. MURRAY, recorder, were present, Members of the order served as pallbearers. THE FUNERAL OF DR. EDWARD YOUNG, brother of deceased, whose death occurred at the home of his brother-in-law, John LEWIS, of Stratford, on Saturday afternoon, will take place tomorrow afternoon from the LEWIS home at Strafford.
