Elwood Zell obituary
 
 
North Chester County Herald, Nov 24,1955

 "Elwood Zell, of Honey Brook, died Sunday night in the 
Chester County Hospital, West Chester, where he had been 
a patient for four weeks. He was in his 83rd year and had 
been ill about four years.

  Born in West Brandywine Township, he was a son the the 
late John and Ester Zell. He lived in Coatesville for many 
years. He was formerly employed for 32 years at the Lower 
Steel Mills, and for 16 years at the Houstonville School. 
He and his family moved to Honey Brook nine years ago.

  He was a member of the Olivet Methodist Church,Coatesville, 
and the Wesleyan Bible class of that church.

   He is survived by his wife,, the former Cora Miller, and 
the following children, Oscar L.Zell,Sr., of Parkesburg,RD; 
Mrs. Anna Zell Conrad, of West Palm Beach, Florida; John H.
Zell, West Chester; Miss Ada E.Zell, at home; Elwood T.Zell,
West Chester; and Chester K.Zell, HoneyBrook. There are eleven 
grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

  Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock 
from the Archie S.Maclean Funeral Home, 5th Avenue and the 
Lincoln Hwy, Coatesville. Interment will follow in Fairview 
cemetery, Coatesville.

Friends may call at the Maclean Funeral Home on Thursday evening 
from 7 until 9 o'clock."

"Nov 24, 1955, Honeybrook, Elwood Zell died at Chester County 
Hospital, West Chester, 83. He was born at West Brandywine the 
son of John and Ester Zell."
