Cards are out announcing the coming marriage of W.J. McCannon and Miss Sallie 
Leighton, daughter of Wayne Leighton, of Barneston.  The wedding will take 
place on December 20th, at the residence of the bride’s parents.  Mr. McCannon 
is a very popular young man and is highly esteemed in the community.  He is a 
consistent member of God Will M.E. Church.  Miss Leighton is also a member of 
the same church, and is an accomplished young lady.
