Strickland, and Elmer C. Speakman both well known young people were married at seven o'clock last night at the home of the former`s parents, Elmer E. and Cora M. Strickland, 608 East Main street,in the presence of forty persons, relatives and friends. The bridegroom is a son of C.N. and Ida Speakman and is associated in business with his father under the firm named C.N. Speakman and sons, one of the oldest established business houses in the country. Following the ceremony a reception was tendered the bride and groom and later Mr. and Mrs. Speakman left on a eastbound train on a ten days' trip through New York state. Upon their return they will reside in Coatesville. Mr. Speakman is treasurer of the Firemen's Relief Association and an active memeber of Washington Hose Company.
