Huey, North High Street. The house was prettily decorated fir the occasion with spring flowers and palms, daffodils lending their cheerful hue as the prevailing color scheme. In the presence of relatives and a few intimate friends, the ceremony was performed by Rev. Chas. R. Williamson, pastor of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. Miss Scattergood was given in marriage by her father, Charles Scattergood of Huntingdon, Pa and was attended by Miss Jean Sellers Hemphill, of West Chester, as maid of honor. Mr. Thorp’s best man was his brother, Dr. William K. Thorp. The bride was most becomingly garbed in shades of brown. She wore a corsage bouquet of cream colored ‘sweetheart” roses. The maid of honor was in blue with hat matching her costume, gray slippers and a bouquet of variegated sweet peas. After the ceremony and wedding breakfast the bride and groom left in their own automobile for a wedding tour mostly by auto. On their return, they will reside on South High Street, this borough.
