We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ ****************************************************************** Will of Robert McPherson 1777 Robert McPherson Will NO 3044 In the name of God amen that I Robert McPherson of Sadsbury Township County of Chester & province of Pennsylvania being weak of body but of perfect mind And memory thanks be given unto God I therefore calling to mind the mortality of my Body knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make ordain this my Last will & testament, First I give and recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in a decent Chris-tian manner nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the Same again by the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly Estate where with it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give and desire& dispose of the same in the following manner and form I desire that all my lawful debts and funeral expenses be paid I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Agness the whole benefit of my real and personal Estate situated in Sadsbury Township one part & one part in West Calm in the County and province affore said for the space of six years from my deseas for the purpose of enabling her to bring up the children but if she happens to marry in the space of this six years then she is to have no more benefits of my real or personal Estate also she is to have no more cost nor trouble with the children I give and bequeath that my real and personals Estate wholly be equally divided between my wife Agness and my nine children excepting my son Thomas which I allow a addition of ten pounds to be first took out of the whole but if any of my children die before they come to the years of maturity I allow that it be equally divided Between all the rest lastly I constitute my wife Agness and my Brother in law Arthur Park to be my whole and sole Executors of this my last will and testament disannulling and revoking all former wills by me made and Ratifying this only to be my last will and testament whiteness wherefo I have here unto set my hand and seal this Twenty fifth day of September In the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred & seventy six 1776/ Signed Sealed Published Robert McPherson And declared in presence of us Alexander McPherson William Willken. West town the 10th day of April A.D. 1777 then personally appeared Alexander McPherson & William Willken and on their oaths did dispose, declare and say that They were personally present and did see & head Robert McPherson the testator with named sign seal publish pronounce & declare the writhin writing to be as and for his last will & testament and that at the doing thereof he was of a sound and well disposing mind and memory to the best of their understanding. Recorded in Book F page 221 Sworn before T.Taylor Reg. ================================================================================ Supplementary Acct, Of administration on Robert McPherson Estate Filed 27th November 1805. NO# 3044 Whereas Robert McPherson of the township of Sadsbury Recd appointed the accomptant Arthur Park the now surviving Executor And Agness his wife now dead. Executrix of his last Will and Testament he there in willed that his Executrix should have the real and personal Estate for 7 years in order to enable her to pay his just debts and educate and bring up the Childrenduring her lifetime her and the children amicably divided the real & personal Estate in said Sadsbury among themselves agreeable to said Will therefore your accomptant craves to be exonerated therefrom, as the property never came into his hands. ---- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Your accomptant Arthur Park Surviving Executor charges himself with the monies arising from the sale of lands (ordered to be sold by the orphans court) situated in the township of West Caln amounting to $1050.00 when it comes into his hands. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To Amt. of sales Est. above $1050.00 Your accomptant craves allowance for the several demands of the legatos whose demands is as follows ----------------------------------------------------- Alexander McPherson charges me with the money he paid in supporting a law-suite with his Uncle Alexander McPherson Error Excepted July 1805 in regards of the above track of land which is as follows. Arthur Park ---------------------------------------- to cash paid and time spent as per account 237.84 the amount of forfeit on the above acct. by calculation 113.20 $351.04 Balance due Richard McPherson pr. his account $130.51 by allowance to this Acct. 8.00 by cash X register for paying and filing this acct. 150 by do for notifying 1.50 heirs and creditors by do for copy 1.00 493.55 Balance due the Estate 556.45 1050.00 The Inventory which amounts to 339.10 never came into this accomptants hands as the same was amicably divided amongst the Heirs agreeably to the Will. Richard McPherson charges me with the improvements he made and expenses he was at in regards of the above track of land the amount of which comes to 157.17 credit by years rent -26.66 the Balance 130.51
