All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ Full Will of Thomas MILLARD, W Nantmeal, written December 2, 1805, probated February 21, 1818 In the name of God Amen, I Thomas Millard of the township of West Nantmell, County of Chester and State of Pennsylvania, blacksmith, being in perfect health of body and of sound mind memory and understanding (Blessed be God for the same) but considering the uncertainty of this Life do make and Publish this my Last will and testatment in manner and form following to wit: PRINCIPALLY and first of all I commen my immortal soul into the hands of God who gave it, and my Body to the Earth, to be Buried in a decent and Christian-like manner at the Direction of my Executors herein after mentioned and as to susch worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless in this Life, I give and dispose of the same In the following manner, towit- I give and devise unto my oldest daughter Hannah Bowen's surviving children the sum of thirty eight pounds to be equally divided between them. Item - to my Daughters Rachel, Jane, and Elizabeth I give and bequeath each fifty pounds. Item - to my son Thomas I also bequeath the sum of fifty pounds subject to the Deduction of his Debts at the time he departed this state which my executors are to Discharge out of his Legacy. The aforesaid Bequests to be discharged in the following manner to wit: Rachel and the surviving children of Hannah Bowen to be paid in one year after my decease and those of Thomas and Jane in two years after my decease and that of Elizabeth in three years after my decease. In case the Latter mentioned shall parsonaly appear to receive hers that is to say she is not to receive hers without parsonaly being called for. And as touching all the Rest residue and remainder of my estate real and personal, of what kind or nature soever the same may be in the County of Chester afforesaid or elsewhere, I Give and Devise the same unto my Daughter Rebecah Woodward forever. And lastly I nominate my said Daughter Rebecah and her husband Thomas Woodward to be the Executors of this my last will hereby revoking all other wills, Legacies and Bequests by me heretofore made and declaring this and no other to be my Last will and testament. Chester Co Will Book N Vol 13. 1817-1821 NOTE: Thomas MILLARD is buried at St Mary's Episcopal church cemetery. He died 5/10/1817, aged 78/5/22.
