I Ephraim Morrison in the county of Chester, Township of New London, and State of Pennsylvania (Farmer) Being old and very infirm and weak in body, But of perfect mind and memory Thanks be to God therefore, calling into mind the mortality of my body, and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, Do make and ordain this my last Will and testament (that is to say) Principally and first of all I give and recommend My soul to the hands of God that gave it, And for my body I recommend it to the earth To be buried in a christian like manner, at the discretion of my Exectuors, Nothing doubting but at the General Resurrication I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God And as touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give devise and dispose of the same in the manner and form Impremium: It is my will and I do order that in the first place all my Just debts and funeral charges be Paid and satisfied Item. I give and bequest to the children of Mary Gray wife of Robert Gray In carolina The sum of seventy pounds good and lawful money to be divided equally among each of her lawful children forever. Item I give and bequest to my brother Alexander Morrison the Plantation now occupied by James Roney containing 168 Acres be the same more or less also six acres of land adjoining said tract, patented bearing date 1784 unto him and his heirs forever with all the appurtenances therein belonging. Also it is my will that all the lands and property of any kind that I bequeath to my Brother Alexander Morrison he in his will to bequeath to his oldest son Ephraim A. Morrison two shares and to each of the rest of his lawful children share and share alike Item I give and bequeath to my Brother Joseph Morrison the plantation where I now live, Except the house and ten acres adjoining said house where I now live, also the plantation which I bought from him and also a piece of land which I bought from Shuebert Armitage adjoining said land, also another lot of land which I bought from John Grant adjoining said lands with all the appurtenances Belonging to the aforesaid tracts of land unto him and his heirs forever. Item I give and bequeath to Alexander Morrison, Son of James Morrison, twenty five acres of land to the east end of the house where he now lives, paralell to the line of My Brother Alexander Morrisons plantation. Item I give and bequeath to Ephraim Morrison, son of James Morrison twenty pounds to him and his heirs forever. Item I give and bequeath to Charlotte Morrison, Daughter of James Morrison, fifty pounds to her and her heirs forever. Item I give and bequeath to Charlotte Morrison wife of James Morrison forty Shillings yearly to be paid to her yearly during her life. Item I Give and Bequeath to My Brother Hugh Morrison twenty pounds to him and his heirs forever. Item I Give and Bequeath to My Sister Jane fifty pounds to be paid to her one year after my decease, also the house and ten acres of land where I now live to her and her heirs forever. Item I Give and Bequeath to my cousen Margaret Morton the house where Alexander Morrison now lives and one acre of land adjoining said house and firewood for one fire also one cows graze for the term of seven years after my decease, But in case said Margaret Morton should die before that time, it is to descend to Alexander Morrison (Son of James Morrison) also I will unto Margaret Morton twenty pounds Lawful money to her and her heirs forever. Item I will and Bequeath to my Brother Alexander Morrison the residue of the plantation where Alexander Morrison (son of James Morrison now lives) except the twenty five acres Bequeathed to the said Son of James Morrison. Item I Give and Bequeath unto the trustees of New London Congregation in the county of Chester the sum of one hundred pounds to be by them placed out at interest on good real Security and the Interest only applied Annually for the use of the minister who is pastor in the said Meeting house, But the principle sum bequeathed is to be kept as a fund forever. I Give and Bequeath to the trustees afformentioned the sum of ten pounds to be by them placed out at interest and the interest to be applied annually for the support of the Burying ground Belonging to said congregation forever. Item It is my will that the Plantation now in the Tenure of Marshall Lees Be sold one year after my decease either at public of private sale, whichever my Executors think proper for the benefit of the heirs, and the money arising from said sale is to go into the Common Stock Item all the rest of my estate remaining both real and personal of what kind and nature soever I Give and Bequeath the one half thereof to my Brother Alexander Morrisons lawful children share and ahare alike Item I Give and Bequeath the other half unto my Brother Joseph Morrisons Lawful Children the other half share and share alike to them and their heirs forever. It is my will that all my personal estate be sold at public sale and the money to go into the common stock. Item My will is further that in case any of my legatees, after my Decease Institute Prosecute or promote any suit whatever in law or equity or otherwise attempt to set aside Dissappoint Frustrate, or set aside the effect of this my will or any Disposition by me herein made of my estate or of any part thereof made then and in such case my will is that the said Gifts and Bequeaths made to such of my Legatees who shall attempt to Set aside or frustrate this my will aformentioned Shall be and are hereby Declared to be null and void and of none effect to all intents and purposes and the sum or sums therein Bequeathed to return to the common stock and be divided among the other Legattes share and share alike and lastly I do make constitute and appoint Walter Finney Esq and Thomas Henderson Esq and the suvivors of them to be the Executors of this my Last will and Testament hereby revoking and making viod all and every other will or wills heretofore by me made.
