We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ____________________________________________________________ Elizabeth Patterson Will-Chester Co., Goshen Proved 29 Aug. 1748 Recorded in Book C, Page 155 No. 1260 Chester August 29, 1749 Then personally appeared John Jorman and Samuel Phipps two of the witnesses to the written will who on their solemn affirmation did declare that they were present and saw the tostarrix within named sign seal publish pronounced and declared the within writing to be her last will and testament and that at the doing thereof she was of sound mind and memory to the best of their understanding. Affirmed before Jo. Parker Deputy Registrar I Elizabeth Patterson of Goshen in the County of Chester in the Province of Pennsylvania being sick and weak in body but of sound disposing mind and memory praised be God for the same do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following viz First I order that my just debts and funeral charges be first paid and discharged by my exceutor hereafter named and for the residue of goods moveables moneys and effects which I possess and enjoy in this world I give and dispose of the same as followeth that is to say first I give and bequeath unto my youngest son Samuel the sum of twenty shillings of lawfull money of this province and all the rest and residue of my said moveables--goods moneys due upon bonds bills or otherwise and effects whatsoever and wheresoever found and to me belonging--and apportaining I give and bequeath to my three eldest sons viz Johm Patterson , William Patterson and Thomas Patterson to be equally divided between them share and share alike and it is my will and desire that my executor hereinafter named do know the best of my said effects and put out the moneys arising therefrom with the moneys due to me upon my said children until they respectively attain to their ages of one and twenty years at which ages it is my will that my excecutor or his excecutors do pay unto them their said respective shares or portions thereof also I nominate and appoint my trusty friend and neighbor Francis Mochem to be sole executor of this my last will and testament and I repose a trust in him to put my son Thomas apprentice to some profitable trade according to the discretion of him my said executor and lastly I declare to be null and void all other wills and testaments by me heretofore made in word or writing and declare this only to be my last will and testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this seven and twentieth day of the third month anno Dom 1748 Signed Sealed Pronounced and Declared by the said Elizabeth Patterson to be her last will and testament in y Presenes of us her Elizabeth x Patterson mark John Jarman Samuel (Phipps) {name nearly undecipherable} AD 29 Aug 1749 Richard Jones Inv y 1st O br A true Inventory of all and singular tho Goods and Effects of Elizabeth Patterson late of Goshon widow devalued appraised at Goshon the one and thirthieth day of the third month called May A.D. 1748 Wearing apparel......................................11.07. 0 Books............................................... 00.07. 6 Side Saddle......................................... 03.10. 0 Bedding............................................. 04.04. 0 Pewter.............................................. 02.02. 6 Lumber.............................................. 00.04. 4 Iron Pot and Pot Rack............................... 00.12. 0 Spinning wheel 2 hockle & reel...................... 05.01. 0 Flax and flaxon yarn................................ 02.04. 6 Pair of Hiliard..................................... 00.10. 0 One Heifor.......................................... 12.00. 0 One Bond for Twelve Pounds Money of Pennsilvania.....12.
