OWEN THOMAS, deceased West Chester (PA)--Reg. of Wills Vol. 4, P. 490 Will Made: Dec 7, 1761 Died: 1763 Probated: 1764 ELEANOR THOMAS Eleanor Thomas, of Vincent Township, Chester Co., Province of Pennsylvania, widow of OWEN THOMAS, deceased, being sick in body but of good memory, calling to mind that it is certain for all to die. First of all I commend my soul to God who gave it and my body to be buried in a decent manner at the discretion of my Executors in full assurance that my soul and body shall be reunited again at the General Resurrection. Secondly, I order my funeral charges to be paid and my lawful debts if there be any and as thouching my wordly affairs. Item, I give to my beloved son DAVID THOMAS the sum of 20 pounds. Item, I give to my beloved son MORRIS THOMAS the sum of 1 pound 7 shillings 6 pence. Item, I give to my beloved son OWEN THOMAS the sum of 1 pound 7 shillings 6 pence. Item, I give to my beloved daughter SARAH EVANS the wife of ABNER EVANS the sum of 20 pounds. Item I give to my beloved daughter ELIZABETH THOMAS the wife of JOSEPH THOMAS the sum of 20 pounds. Item I give to my beloved daughter MARY JURY the sum of 20 pounds. Item I give to my Grand Child ELEANOR EVANS the Daughter of ABNER EVANS my feather bed and beding and thereof I order my Daughter Sarah as above named to pay unto ELEANOR THOMAS the daughter of JOSEPH THOMAS my Grand Child the sum of 2 pounds 10 shillings and likewise to pay the sum of 2 pounds, 10 shillings to ELEANOR JURY my Grand Child the daughter of MARY JURY Widow and moreover I constitute DAVID THOMAS my son to be executor and trustee of this my Last Will and Testament.
