The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net ********************************************************* I, Jonathan Tucker of East Nantmeal Township in the County of Chester and State of Pennsylvania being of sound disposing mind and memory, do make this my last Will and Testament in manner following, viz: my will is that my just debts and funeral expenses be fully paid as soon as convenient after my decease. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Elizabeth Tucker all and singular my estate real and personal to be wholly for her use and benefit during her natural life, and within one year after her decease I direct that my executors or the survivor of them shall sell at public sale all my real estate and by deed in fee simple convey the same to the purchaser or purchasers thereof and the money arising therefrom to be divided as is herein after directed. I give and bequeath to my son John Tucker, ten pounds Pennsylvania currency to be paid him one year after my said wife's decease. I also give and bequeath to the said John Tucker all my wearing apparel. I give and bequeath to my daughter Hannah Jones the interest of two hundred pounds Pennsylvania currency during her natural life which money shall be put out to interest within one year after my said wife's decease for her use and after my said daughter's decease the principal shall be divided equally amongst her children if they should be of age but if all or any of them should be minors then the money or such part of it as belongs by this will to such minor or minors to be kept at interest for his, her or their use until he, she or they shall arrive at full age and then to be paid to them respectively. I give and bequeath to my daughters Amy Reid, Catherine Lewis, Tacy [Tucker] and Mary Tucker two hundred pounds Pennsylvania currency to be paid them respectively within one yea after my said wife's decease the residue of the monies arising out of my estate I leave to my beloved wife's disposal, but if she should not dispose of the same then it is my will that the whole thereof should be equally divided amongst my said daughters, share and share alike. I also give to my daughters Tacy and Mary Tucker the privilege of occupying the two rooms at the east end of the house in which I now live after their Mother's decease with sufficiency of firewood for their use while they occupy the same with free ingress, egress and regress, to and from the same provided they are unmarried or to such of them as may remain unmarried. Lastly, I constitute and appoint my said beloved wife, Elizabeth Tucker, executrix and my son in law, Abel Lewis and my son in law, Paul Reid, executors of this my Last Will and Testament and do hereby revoke all other wills by me heretofore made and ratify and confirm this and no other to be my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Eighth day of the Fourth month in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ten (1810) Signed Sealed and declared by the Testator to be his last Jonathan Tucker Will and Testament in the Presence of us, Isiah Kirk Amos Davis West Chester December 10th, 1816 Then personally appeared Isiah Kirk and Amos Davis who being duly affirmed according to law, did declare affirm and say that they were personally present and did see and hear Jonathan Tucker the Testator in the foregoing instrument of writing named sign seal publish pronounce and declare the same as and for his Last Will and Testament and that at the doing thereof he was of a sound and well disposing mind and memory to be best of their knowledge and belief.
