Will of Richard Webb, 1719 I Richard Webb of the township of Birmingham, County of Chester in the province of Pennsylvania upon being sick and weak of body but of sound mind and memory do make this my last will and testament in the manner following. That is to say My will is that all my just debts and funeral charges be paid as soon as may be after my decease I give divise and bequeath to my loving wife Elizabeth Webb and to her heirs - and assign forever all and singular my messauge lands, tenaments and ................ with their appurtences and all other of my real estate.....lying and being in the County of Chester and elsewhere together with all and singular my goods and chattels and .....estate whatforever and whereforever the same are may be. To the extent only that my said wife may sell my said estate .......... and ......with the money arising by such sale to pay my debts and also the legacies herafter mentioned. That is to say To my son William Webb the sum of one pound Also unto my daughter Mary the wife of Geo. Brown the sum of one pound Also unto my daughter Sarah, the wife of Wm. Dilworth the sum of one pound Also unto my daughter Esther the wife of John Bennett the sum of one pound Also unto my son Jos. Webb the sum of one pound Also unto my son Benj. Webb the sum of one pound Also unto my son Dan. Webb the sum of one pound Also unto my son John Webb the sum of one pound Also unto my son James Webb the sum of one pound. Which legacies are to be paid to the legator of full age within one year after my decease and to those that are now under age as they respecfully come of full age And as concerning all residual, the said money arising by the said sale, my will is that same be wholely at my wife's disposal. (back of page) And I appoint here my wife Elizabeth Webb sole executrix and desire that my son Wm. Webb and my friend Sam......., James Gibbon and Joseph Brinton be advising and assisting unto her in the execution of my will. In witness where of I have here unto at my hand and seal the second day of the month called March 1719 Signed, sealed, published and delivered by the above named Rich. Webb to this last will and testament............of. (different handwriting) Richard Webb's will R. W. husband of Eliz. Webb the preacher who owned the land where Birmingham Meeting House and graveyard now likewise, part of Brinton Jones's land. R. W. was the great grandfather of Stephen and William Webb (so says Stephen) T.
