At an Orphan's Court held at Clarion in and for the County of Clarion on the 27th day of April A.D 1875, The Petition of John Keck Administrator of the Estate of David Swab late of the County of Clarion deceased Respectfully represents; That your Petitioner presented his petition to your Honorable Court to No _ of _ Term 1874 setting forth that the said David Swab died seized in his demesne as of fee of certain lands in the counties of Clarion and Jefferson therein fully described that the personal estate of said decedent was insufficient to pay or satisfy the debt and that it was requisite to sell a Portion of the real estate for the payments, a list of the debts being annexed thereto, and praying an order authorizing the sale of that so much money might be made out of the land laying in the County of Jefferson Whereupon your Honorable Court granted the prayer thereof and the Orphan's Court of Jefferson Authorized Your petitioner to Sell Tract No. 2 Situated in Knox Township Jefferson County Containing One Hundred and two acres, that Your Petitioner After advertising the said according to law, offered the Land at Public Sale At different times but was unable to sell the same for an adequate Price or for sufficient sum to pay the debts of said decedent. Your Petitioner would therefore pray an Order of Said court to authorize a Sale Of One hundred and Seventy and and one half acres of land of tract number one in said petition as before presented and situated in the Township of Limestone County of Clarion Bounded and described as follows Beginning at post thence North 86[degrees] West One hundred and fifty One perches to a post Thence North fifteen perches to a post, Thence West Eleven perches to a post Thence North 43 perches to a post Thence North 78[degrees] East forty three perches to a post, Thence North One hundred and ninety six perches to a post Thence East Eithty Perches to a post Thence North fifty nine perches to a post Thence North 84[degrees] East Thirty Seven perches to a post Thence South Along the County Line two hundred and seventy six perches to the place of Beginning for the purpose of paying said debt. Your Petitioner further represents that the debt are still unpaid and that he has not recieved or heard of any further personal property whereby they might paid. And now 27 April 1875. Petition present, and filed and order of sale awarded, Bond in 10,000 Dollars with approved sureties, by one of the Associate Judges. By the Court - May 27th 1875 Bond filed as above directed in the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars with Conrad Keck and Benjamin Keck as sureties And now 29 May 1875. Approved by James Sweny Associate Judge May 29 Exit Order of Sale. John Keck Administrator Makes Return as follows That having given due public notice of the time and place of Sale, according to law he did on the twenty first day of July last expose the within mentioned Real Estate to Sale by public vendue or outcry, on the premises, and sold the same to Ernst Glicker of the said county of Clarion for the sum of Five thousand One hundred & twenty five dollars, he being the best bidder and that the highest price bidden for the same, which sale he prays may be confirmed by the Court. And now 26th August 1875, Confirmed Nisi. By the Court. Additional Comments: After failing to sell David Swab's land in Jefferson County, John Keck Petitions the court to sell David's homestead in Clarion county and is successful.
