(Somerset, Pa.) March 10, 1880 Edinburgh, Pa, March 4 – At three o'clock yesterday afternoon a twelve year old boy, Swatzfagger by name orphan, living with Miles Dale's family at Shippenville, was found by Dale's daughter behind the inner door in the house, on her return from school, his brains oozing out, and a single barreled pistol close by. His forehead was powder stained, showing the pistol to have been close to his head. The house was darkened, and the rest of the family was out. Opinion is divided as to accident or suicide. There is no particular reason for the latter. The boy lived two hours. A coroner's inquest will be held today.
