(Ebensburg, Pa.) 1867-1938: March 23, 1872 Died, in Loretto, on Thursday last, Walter Richard, son of M. D. and Emma Christy, of Parker's Landing, Pa., and nephew of Rev. R. C. Christy, of this place, aged about 6 years. The dear little fellow was one of Mount Gallitzin's pupils, and was on a brief visit to his grandmother when stricken down and called home to assume in reality the character (that of an angel) which he personated so pleasingly in tableaux presented in this place on the eve of Epiphany. We saw him on Monday night, full of buoyant life and childish glee, and can scarcely realize the fact that he is now with the angelic hosts that constantly surround the bright throne of the Most High. He was one of the most endearing of children, and we can well conceive that his sudden death, away from home and without the loving presence of his dear parents, has created a deeply distressing void in the family circle. We believe his disease was croup.
