He was born Jan. 3, 1939 in Clarion county to Ralph and Irene Beatty Houser. Mr. Houser was employed at Bud Transport, where he was a truck driver. He was a member of the Dayton Glade Run Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Teamsters, where he was a truck driver for both R & H of Clarion and Wolmerdorf. He was a member of the Dayton Volunteer Fire Department for more than 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Garnet (Hollenbaugh) Houser; and one son, James A. Houser of Denver, N.C. He was preceded in death by his parents. HOUSER - Friends of Arthur James Houser, 58, of Dayton, who died Feb. 21, 1997, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Bly Funeral Home, 125 Main St., Dayton, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. T.R.R. Stull officiating. Interment will take place in the Concord Cemetery, Wayne township. arrangements by Bly.
