Died at Pike Furnace, Clarion County, Pa., on March 24th, in the 18th year of his
age, David Thomas, son of Hunter and Margaret Orr… Early last summer, he was placed
at the Clarion Classical Institute, Rimersburg, Pa., under the care of Rev. J.
Appel; before completing school, he became one of the first to join Captain John
Ewing’s Company, 155th Reg’t. P. V., of which he was chosen Orderly Sergeant...
