obits: Whitmore, Bennie Alonzo, Clarion County, PA SUBJECT: OBIT: Bennie Alonzo Whitmore SUBMITTER: Ken Whitmore EMAIL: ken@wacom.com.uy DATE: Aug 30, 1999 PASSWORD> SURNAMES: Whitmore Submitter's note: The following obituary was read from microfilm borrowed by my contact from the Kansas Library Loan system. Notice the misspelling of Clarion as "Claring". I have his name and correctly spelled birthplace and birthdate from his son's Social Security registration form. Other sources place the grave more specifically in Section A of the Towanda Cemetery. I have also been going on the assumption that Bennie's middle name was spelled "Alonzo", but the obituary shows it as "Alanzo". Although I mention another misspelling in my original post, I believe that the relatives wouldn't have made a mistake on his name, so I am dropping my assumption for now.
