We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ Seth Simpson died Sept. 2, 1955 Seth Simpson, 58, Sligo, died Sept. 2, 1955, at Reynoldsville, Penna., while at work for the Bracken Construction Co. Mr. Simpson, a son of the late William and Mary I. Buzzard Simpson, was born May 19, 1897 in Madison township, Clarion county, Penna. In 1917 he was married to Mary Wiser, who survives. Besides his wife he leaves six children; Mrs. Ruth Rummel, Sligo; Mrs Betty Bishop, Bruin; William Simpson, Sligo; Mrs. Jane Hawk, Callensburg; Dean Simpson, Sligo, and Patty Simpson, at home. He is also survived by three sisters and three brothers Mrs. Wm. Erbe, Sligo; Mrs. Jane Loreng, East Brady; Mrs. Mae Cogley, East Brady, Ben Simpson, Sykesville; George Simpson, Creekside, and Robert Simpson, Rimersburg. Eight grandchildren also survive. Mr. Simpson was a member of the Sligo Methodist church and teacher of adult Bible class. He served in World War I and was a member of Elliott Gathers McKee Post 149 Sligo. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 oÕclock in the Methodist church, Sligo, with the Rev. Fred Hunt, officiating. Burial was made in Sligo Grandview cemetery with military rites.
