Sloughfy, 56, for many years a resident of New Bethlehem, died Thursday, March 9, 1944, at his home in Cramer, Cambria county, Penna. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mr. Sloughfy, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Sloughfy of New Bethlehem, was born at Squirrel Hill, Porter Township, Clarion county. He attended the local high school and later conducted a grocery store in the room now occupied by the Lerch Dress Shop. He was married to Miss Nettie Belle Mohney, who died four years ago. The survivors include seven children, Arthur Sloughfy, Altoona; Brent Sloughfy, Johnstown; Mrs. Sam Johnston, Armagh; Mrs. R.F. Scroder, Washington, D.C.; Lloyd Sloughfy – Cramer, and Donald and Bessie Sloughfy, at home. He also leaves five grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. George Monroe, Mt. Lebanaon, Pittsburgh. Funeral services, were held Sunday afternoon, March 12, at the Clark's Funeral Home, Armagh, Penna. With burial in the Armagh cemetery.
