The deceased had been ill for about three months with a dropsical affection of the heart. Mr. Wentling formerly resided at Wentling’s Corners, Beaver township, but for the past three years had been making his home with Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Hall, of Knox. Mr. Wentling was a soldier of the civil war and served with honor to himself and country with the 155th Regiment Penn’a Volunteers. He was aged 61 years, 6 months and 14 days. He is survived by three daughters and one son: Mrs. Geo. Hall, of Knox, Mrs. J.C. Smith, of Erie, Pa., Mrs. W.H. Wile, of Blair’s Corners, and W.J., of Wimbledon,N.D. Funeral services were held at the Stone church on Saturday, January 11th, conducted by Rev. Laubach. Interment in Stone Church cemetery.
