  John M. Urey was born August 27, 1870, in Banks township, 
Indiana county, Pa.  He graduated from the State Normal 
School at Indiana, Pa., in the class of 1891, and was 
valedictorian of his class.  He was admitted to the bar of 
Clearfield county September 7, 1896. 1896.
