PA Written: November 4, 1854 Recorded: December 5, 1854 This Indenture made the fourth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four between David and William Cree, James Cree, Maklen Hoover and Hannah Jane Cree his wife children and heirs at law of William Cree deceased of the one part and Christian Shoff of the other part for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars lawful money of the United States of America unto them well and truly paid by the said Christian Shoff at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed released and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release and confirm unto the said Christian Shoff his heirs and assigns all that certain piece or parcel of land situate lying and being in the Township of Beccaria in the County of Clearfield and state of Pennsylvania bounded and described as follows to wit: Beginning at a post on the road from Clearfield Creek to Smiths Mills thence along said road north eighty three degrees west, one hundred and five perches to a post = Thence west thirty two perches to a post = Thence north seventy two perches to a post = thence east one hundred and thirty and a half perches to a post = Thence north seventy two perches to a post = thence east one hundred and thirty and a half perches to a post = thence south one hundred and thirty one and four fifths perches to the place of beginning and containing ninety acres being a piece of land which by diverse good conveyances and assurances in law was vested in Hardman Philips and wife and Sophia Philips who by deed bearing date the 1st day of April A.D. 1828 conveyed the land to William Cree as by Reference to said deed will more fully and at large appear. Together with all and singular the improvements ways waters water courses rights liberties privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of them the said parties of the first part in law equity or otherwise howsoever of in and to the same and every part thereof. To have and to hold the said piece or parcel of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said Christian Shoff his his (sic) heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said Christian Shoff his heirs and assigns forever and the said parties of the first part their heirs Executors and administrators do by these presents covenant grant and agree to and with the said Christian Shoff his heirs and assigns that they the said parties of the first part their heirs all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said Christian Shoff his heirs and assigns against them the said parties of the first part their heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof by from or under them as any of them shall and will warrant and forever defend. In witness whereof the said parties to these presents have herewith interchangeably set their hands and seals Dated the day and year first above written. Hoover On the fourth day of November Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred fifty four before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for Clearfield personally appeared the above named David Cree, William Cree, James Cree, and Maklen Hoover and Hannah Jane his wife and in due form of law acknowledged the above indenture to be their act and deed and the said Hannah Jane being of full age and separate and apart from her said husband by me thereon privately examined and the full contents of the above and being by me made known to her did therefore declare and say that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord sign seal and as her act and deed deliver the above written Indenture deed or conveyance without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband.
