PA Written: November 4, 1854 Recorded: December 5, 1854 Clearfield County Deed Book O pages 732-733 Deed David Cree etal John Shoff This Indenture made the fourth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four between David Cree Wm Cree James Cree Maklen Hoover and Hannah Jane Hoover children and heirs at law of William Cree deceased of the one part and John Shoff of Beccaria Township Clearfield County and State of Pennsylvania of the other part. Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars lawful money of the United States of America unto them well and truly paid by the said John Shoff at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release and confirm unto the said John Shoff his heirs and assigns on that certain piece of land situate lying and being in the Township of Beccaria in the County of Clearfield, state of Pennsylvania bounded and described as follows to wit: Beginning at a Hemlock on the northeast corner of land surveyed to Frederick Hendman thereby land of John Whitman south 80 perches to a beech = then by lands of Frederick Hendman west one hundred and six perches to a birch = thence by land of the same north 80 perches to a white pine thence by lands of John Gill east one hundred and six perches to the place of beginning containing fifty acres and allowances being part of a tract of land in the name of Frederick Hendman in pursuance of a warrant dated the 16 Jany 1793 which said land by diverse good conveyances and assurances in law was vested in Hardman Philips and wife and Sophia Philips and by them convey (sic) to Wm Cree by deed bearing date the 1st d ay of April A. D. 1828 and recorded in Clearfield County or intended to be recorded. Together with all and singular the improvements ways, waters, water courses rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments, appurtenances whatever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and all the estate, right title, interest property claim and demand whatsoever of them the said party of the first part in law equity or otherwise howsoever of in and to the same and every part thereof To have and to hold the said described piece of land hereditaments and all premises hereby granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said John Shoff his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said John Shoff his heirs and assigns to and forever. And the said parties of the first part their heirs executors and administrators as by these presents covenant grant and agree to and with the said John Shoff his heirs and assigns that they the said parties of the first part their heirs all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said John Shoff his heirs and assigns against them the said parties of the first part their heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof by from or under them or any of them shall and will by these presents warrant and forever defend. In witness whereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their hands and seals dated the day and year first above written. Wright James Cree Samuel Shoff Maklen Hoover Hannah J Hoover On the fourth day of November Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and fifty four before me a Justice of the Peace in and for Clearfield County personally appeared the above named David Cree William Cree James Cree and Maklen Hoover and Hannah Jane Hoover his wife and in due form of law acknowledged the above Indenture to be their act and deed and desired the same might be recorded as such and the said Hannah being of full age and separate and apart from her said husband by me thereon privately examined and the full contents of the above and being by me made known to her did therefore declare and say that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord sign seal and as her act and deed deliver the above written Indenture deed or conveyance without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband.
