sure is wonderful how the 
Lord has taken care of us
these past months. I'll never
be able to thank Him enough.

Postcard sent by Fred Shepherd of Emeigh, near Cherry Tree, to his brother, 
William, from his prison camp in Germany. Fred was captured during the invason 
of southern France in August 1944 and liberated at the European war's end in 
May 1945.
