Raftsman's Journal. (Clearfield, Pa.) February 18, 1857
Arrested B. C. Bachman, late President, and David Longenecker, Cashier of the
Lancaster Bank, charged with embezzling $50,000 of its funds, by appropriating that
amount to the payment of their own private indebtedness. The former was held to bail
in $12,000, for a hearing today, and Longenecker in $24,000 to answer at Court.
