A11 Donna Rose McChesney Allen Donna Rose McChesney Allen, 82, 120 Third St., Falls Creek, died Friday at Christ the King Manor, DuBois. Born April 7, 1924, in Milford, Kan., she was a daughter of the late Lee and Elsie Whitmer McChesney. She married James B. Allen. He preceded her in death Dec. 5, 1982. She received a diploma in medical laboratory technology from St. Francis Hospital School of Medical Technology in Witchita, Kan., in 1943. She received a B.A. in bacteriology in 1947 from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kan. She was a clinical laboratory technologist. She worked at the Keystone Laboratory, the DuBois and Maple Avenue hospitals laboratories, the Brookville Hospital laboratory and was a part-time laboratory assistant at Penn State DuBois Campus. She was an associate member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists in California and Pennsylvania. She was a member of the Pennsylvania Society for Medical Technology. She was a licensed minister and was actively working on obtaining her masters degree in divinity. She was active in the Church of the Brethren. She is survived by several cousins. ALLEN: Donna Rose McChesney, 120 Third St., Falls Creek, died Aug. 18, 2006. Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home, DuBois. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Horace "Butch" Derr officiating. Burial will be in Conway Springs Cemetery, Conway Springs, Kan. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
