October 24, 1927 Funeral Services were held this afternoon for L.J. Beatty, a brother of Harry E. Beatty and A.L. Beatty, of this city, who died Monday in the Chambersburg Hospital of cancer at the age of 66 years. The services were held at the home of the deceased daughter. Mrs. Fred Sharp, of Clearfield. Mr. Beatty resided near McGes Mills for many years and was well and favorably known here. __________________________________________________________________ BEATTY, Clark Clark Beatty, 76, well known Mahaffey resident died Friday evening and was laid yo rest in Mt. Carmel Cemetery at Clover Run tuesday afternoon July 2, 1943. The deceased was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Austin Beatty and had spent his entire life in the Mahaffey community where he was engaged in farming. Surviving are his widow, Lethia Baker Beatty, three daughters; Mrs. Carrie Munshower of Homer City, Mrs. Alma Zuffall, Beaver, Mary, wife of Rev. Norman McGarvey of near Beaver, and two sons; Reed and Clifton of near Pittsburgh, two brothers and a sister also survive; John and Will Beatty, and Mrs. Annie Flory, all of the Mahaffey section. ______________________________________________________________________ BEATTY, Clifford L. Age 65. A native of Newtonburg, Bell Township, died Thursday, September 26, 1968, at the Adrian Hospital, Punxsutawney. Born June 23, 1903. He was a son of Clark and Letha Baker Beattyy. Surviving are his wife, Violet Smith Beatty; four sons and a daughter; Clifford and Donald both of Saltsburg; Mrs. Richard (Ruth) Colussy, Pittsburgh; Robert of Export; James, Detroit, Michigan; ten grand children; two sisters and one brother; Mrs. Norman (Mary) McGarvey. Nyack, New York; Mrs. Alma Anderson, Punxsutawney, R.D. 2; Reed Beatty, Punxsutawney, R.D. 3. Friends will be received at the McCracken Funeral Home , Mahaffey, after 7:30 PM today where funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 PM with Rev. Grant Wolborn officiating. Interment will be made in Crowncrest Memorial Park, Clearfield. ____________________________________________________________________ BEATTY, Walter Walter Beatty, 59, of Proctor, Star Route, died while being driven to a Doctore office, Friday, October 20, 1967. He was stricken while hunting at the home of his son, Samuel of Williamsport, R.D. 2 Mr. Beatty was an employee of the Schnadig Corp. MontoursvilleBorn in Hyde, Clearfield County, he was a son of John and Mertie Coleman Beatty. Surviving, besides his son, are his wife, the former Blanche Bouch, a daughter , Miss Sandra Beatty at home, two brothers, Forrest of Mahaffey, and Max of Hershey, four sisters, Mrs. Mace Duff of Florida, Mrs. Margaret Suter, of Punxsutawney, Mrs. Frances Webster of Mahaffey, and Mrs. Barbara Wetzel of Turtle Creek, and seven grand children. Funeral services were held at 1:30 PM at Spitlers , Montoursville. The Rev. Larry Clark of Barbours Methodist Church officiated. ______________________________________________________________________
