M. shabodeho@aol.com April 19, 2010, 9:59 am Clearfield Progress, The 2/1/1915 Martin Dunlap Clearfield Progress, The 2/1/1915 The foreman of the Second street paving crew, Martin Dunlap, aged 50, died suddenly in the B. R. & P. railroad station at Hyde City, yesterday morning, (1,31) at 10 o'clock. Mr. Dunlap entered the station just a few minutes before train time with his landlady, Mrs. Mary Brown, who was going to Clearfield, while he intended to go to Curwensville and spend the day with his daughters. Just as he entered the station, Mr. Dunlap pulled his watch from his pocket, looked at the time, asked the station agent what time the train was due and if it were on time, sat down and gave a few gasps and was dead. The deceased's relatives in Curwensville were notified and came and get the body. The deceased was a widower and is survived by one son, John of Clearfield, and four daughters, Mrs. Earnest, Mrs. Robert Shaffer and Olive, of Curwensville, and Mrs. Pentz, of Homer City. The funeral will be held from the Methodist Episcopal church at Curwensville on Wednesday at 2 o'clock and interment made in Oak Hill.
