A Sad Affair

Rev. J.R. Ebner received the news Sunday evening of the serious condition of 
his brother, Howard Ebner, who had been shot by James C. Kennedy at New 
Kensington.  The reverend left Monday morning for that place.  The young man 
died Monday afternoon and the body was taken to his home at Muncy, Pa., 
where interment was made Wednesday.

The profoundest sympathy is felt for Mr. Ebner over this distressing affair 
and his many friends fear for this effect of the blow upon his physical 
condition as he has been in poor health for many weeks.
